Nestled along the bank of the Red River, Elmwood is home to some 17,000 people. Here you’ll find a rich cultural and social diversity, a thriving local economy, well-kept homes and streets, and beautiful parks and green spaces. Above all, you will find a caring community focused on the well-being and prosperity of its residents.
To better serve this growing community, the Elmwood Community Resource Centre was founded in March 2001 by the Elmwood Interagency Network, Chalmers Neighbourhood Project, and West Elmwood Residents Association, in consultation with the Elmwood Community.
In May of 2002, Elmwood Community Resource Centre, Chalmers Neighborhood Project, and West Elmwood Residents Association amalgamated their three organizations to create the Elmwood Community Resource Centre (ECRC). ECRC will oversee the work done by Elmwood Community Resource Centre and the community development initiatives in Elmwood.
ELMWOOD COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTRE’S MISSION
ECRC builds community in Elmwood with resources and supports that
make the neighbourhood a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Elmwood is a community of positive outcomes for everyone.
