What are possible signs?
- Living with employer
- Inability to speak to individual alone
- Poor living conditions
- Signs of physical abuse submissive or fearful
What you can do:
- Stay calm
- Listen carefully, without interrupting and judgment
- Avoid asking “why” questions
- Believe the person, reassure your friend it is not their fault
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy
